Wat Benchamabophit or The Marble Temple, located in Dusit province, is another incredible temple in the golden land. Wat Benchamabophit, means "the Temple of the Fifth King", was built on the instructions of King Rama V. Italian Carrara marbles, which were very expensive in those days, have been used extravagantly in its construction.

Close to the Chinatown resides the world’s largest golden seated Buddha, ensconced in Wat Traimit (Temple of the Golden Buddha). This Golden Buddha was discovered accidentally as it was hidden beneath a plaster coating. To protect this precious golden statue from the eyes of the invaders it was covered with stucco and plaster.
